Description
The spirit is matured for 3 years, mostly in first-fill bourbon barrels (which is not common, as the whisky is usually matured in fourth- or fifth-fill barrels).
This whisky also has a higher than average ratio of top-quality single malt to grain whisky (around 15% single malt, compared to the standard 5%).
The entire whisky-making process, including aging in oak barrels, took place on Scottish soil.
