On the romantically dramatic hills of Carmignano lies Capezzana, a wine producer since the year 804.
Currently managed by the Contini Bonacossi family who took over at the turn of the last century, we have new life with Barco.
A bright, fresh expression of Sangiovese that is mottled by the Bordeaux varietals typical of Carmignano since the Medici summered in these very same hills.
Barco is fermented in stainless steel tanks and matured in barrels for 6-8 months.
It is bright ruby red expressive with ample fruit and signature Sangiovese acidity.
